January 2008
Dear Friends of the Upper Cumberland Quilt Festival:
The 20th Upper Cumberland Quilt Festival, scheduled for 19 & 20 September 2008, is already in the planning. In the past, the festival brought around 1500 people from throughout Tennessee and Southern Kentucky to Algood. Each year we broaden the event spectrum to attract more visitors.
The Upper Cumberland Quilt Festival is a 501(c)3 non-profit educational and cultural organization dedicated to promoting and encouraging an appreciation for quilts and quilt making as an art form and as a reflection of individual and national heritage.
The festival provides outstanding sponsorship opportunities for small and large companies, and corporations in the Upper Cumberland region. Special exhibit underwriting is a vital source of financial support for the Festival and a valuable marketing and public relations tool for sponsors. Our sponsors receive visibility and name recognition within a large and diverse audience through print advertising, news releases, publications, signage at our events, and on our website.
Other options for partnership include funding of a demonstration, workshop, or a special exhibit of your choice. Sponsors are also a vital source of in-kind donations needed to organize the Festival. Some provide flowers and decorative accessories for our buildings; others help with banners and signage that are placed throughout the city of Algood and surrounding area. These in-kind donations are essential to the success of the Quilt Festival. Please look at our attached donation packets and let us know about the "Star" of your choice!
Our senior citizens are a vital part of our families and community. We would like to ensure that we are providing them with programs that will enrich their lives. The event is the biggest fundraiser for the Algood Senior Citizens Center. Proceeds from the festival will help finance services such as Food Bank, Health Screening, Recreational Trips, Social Activities, Clothing Support, Out-reach and Visitation programs at the Senior Citizens Center.
We appreciate your financial support to help us accomplish our goal.
We would like to thank you for your support in the past, and hope for your generous contribution again for this year’s event.
